A day at Prashanti

From first light to lights out

Follow one day in the life of our boarders. The sun beside the line travels with you as you scroll.

Dawn

The school wakes gently

The day begins early in the hills, with prayer and a few quiet minutes of silence before anything else. Stillness first, then the day.

Dawn at the school
Morning

The whole school sings together

Assembly gathers every child and teacher in one place: a song, a thought for the day, and the sense of belonging to something larger than a classroom.

Midday

Lessons, taught with care

Through the middle of the day, the CBSE curriculum unfolds in classrooms where teachers know every child by name and values are woven into every subject.

Afternoon

Open air and games

Books close and the playground opens. Sport, games and free play in the mountain air balance the stillness of the classroom.

Evening

Study, music and bhajans

For our boarders the evening settles into supervised study, and then music: the bhajans and songs that give the school its heartbeat.

Night

Lights out, safe and known

A wholesome dinner, a little laughter, and lights out under the care of resident staff who are always close at hand. Tomorrow, the sun rises on it all again.

Night at the hostel

The rhythm of hostel life

Life is a journey from I to We, and from We to Him

A boarder's day has a gentle, unhurried shape, from the first prayer bell to the last. Let prayer be the key for the day and the lock for the night.

A teacher-ward system places one resident teacher with every group of about ten boarders, so that care is personal and no child is ever a stranger. The hostel keeps a health centre and dispensary under a medical officer, with periodic check-ups for every boarder.

For parents

Entrusting us with your child

Sending a child to board is a leap of faith. We honour it with care that is personal, watchful and warm.

Known by name

With resident staff living alongside the children, every boarder is known personally: their habits, their moods, their small victories.

Health & wellbeing

Wholesome food, rest, outdoor play and quiet time are part of the routine, and unwell children receive prompt attention and care.

In touch with home

We keep parents connected with their child and informed about their progress, and we are always reachable when you need us.

See it yourself

Come and spend a morning with us

The surest way to know whether your child will be happy here is to visit. We would be glad to welcome you.
